In this 5 year period the show built on its strong foundation from the previous half-decade, adding new cast members that still have an indelible comedic presence to this day. Skits like “Wayne’s World” and “It’s Pat” were mainstays. Spade, Schneider, Sandler, and Rock (dubbed the “bad boys” of SNL) brought darker (and often more adolescent) skits to the show.
